An Iraq War Veteran’s Miracle Transformed his Faith in God

2003 — The US begins an invasion of Iraq. Nathan Lyons, then just 22 years old, was part of one of the largest mobilizations of the Oregon National Guard since World War II. After a particularly brutal first night in Iraq, Nate attempted to find the military chaplain, only to discover he got scared and left.

To Nate, God had abandoned him when he needed Him most. But after an injury which could have killed him or left him paralyzed, Nate’s faith changed — and he knew he had to make the most of his second chance.

Find out what happened to Nate and how he’s using his experience to help others.
