Fresh off a multi-year run on HBO Latino & HBO Max, The Salvation Army’s short film LA DEUDA is now being released publicly on YouTube for the first time! Entirely in Spanish (but with English subtitles), and featuring an all-Mexican cast, the film is inspired by Jesus’ Parable of the Unmerciful Servant, and underscores the importance of prayerful waiting, and extending to others the same forgiveness Christ has given us.
Whether you saw the film on HBO or are seeing it here for the first time, we hope you enjoy!
We also want to make note of the passing of our dear friend Paco Mufote, who plays Miguel, the young boy’s father. A kind man and an inspiring collaborator, he was tragically killed in an accident during a production in Baja California in June 2022. We dedicate this project to his memory.
