The Salvation Army Rose Center for senior citizens in Portland, Oregon is another unique way that The Salvation Army is reaching out to and connecting with people at various stages of life. The program creates a strong sense of community by providing a wide variety of activities like dance, tai chi, watercolor classes, weekly nature hikes, and road trips to seasonal festivals and fairs.
