Search and Rescue

Denver, Colorado is notorious for some of the harshest winter conditions in the West. Below freezing temperatures, heavy snowstorms, and ice can render the city a rather dangerous place for homeless inhabitants without adequate shelter or resources to properly survive the elements. This is the reason that The Salvation Army’s Search and Rescue team makes it their mission to get as many people off of the streets as possible. Search and Rescue workers drive the Denver streets every night looking for people sleeping outside who they can help by offering blankets or a warm place to sleep. The Search and Rescue effort is one of the many ways that The Salvation Army is helping people change their lives by meeting needs and introducing them to the Gospel of Jesus.
